Love the quote, was diagnosed w/ asthma at a very young age..but have found that a lot of the triggers are from past abuse issues..there are other things but find in working with the issues of having being pushed into oral sex on numerous occasions.and had life threaten numerous times also were some of the underlying issues w/this problem...I am doing MUCH better. Will keep fighting and learning .Thank You for that marvelous quote!
It's soooo true! You don't feel confident until you do something you had been avoiding (people with anxiety know what that is like)
"really stop and look fear in the face. You must do the thing which you think you cannot do"
I wonder if she ever considered/attempted suicide?
This quote applies very well to the moments before suicide - at that time I generally have the "what ifs" I fail fear.
I have considered/attempted suicide on more than a couple of occasions.I still have many fears;..being raped again....continuing abuse: emotional..physical...being on my own w/o out anything to my name...I liked the quote mainly because it helps to reinforce how much I have grown, and I now aware of recognizing/feeling most things in life. I have fears but want to look them in the face and try to conquer some.
^the fears mean things people avoid like public speaking or a specific phobia not at all like what youre thinking.
Thank you for being here; it is really nice to feel not so alone in thoughts..feelings..life. I like your quote also. Find that quotes.affirmations affirm that others understand!!!!!!
I like the quote because it feels so strong but I agree there are some situations that it probably doesn't apply too. Like in horror films, you probably shouldn't turn around and face and alien that wants to eat you.
