Remember to laugh, life is too short!

I was posting this as a response to a comment on an earlier post, and I thought it should be shared with everyone...
I think talking about my abuse on the site was the first time I actually said what I needed to say and was not interrupted in some fashion. It felt amazing. Everyday I realize something new and worthwhile about myself and my world. Most importantly, I have found that my fire and passion will never be stomped out by anyone, not even me. I have endured so much less than so many, and yet at times it feels like so much. These trials and struggles have taught me humility and compassion more so than any other lessons my life has offered. There are days when I feel weak and powerless and my breath is shallow in my chest. On those days it feels as if everything good has been stripped away from me and I will never recover. The frequency of those days has lapsed to moments, and those moments grow further and further apart with each breath. For the rest of my life it is my mission to ensure not only my own safety and happiness, but the safety and happiness of everyone around me (as long as that does not include jeopardizing one for the other). Life has so much beauty and it will never be withheld from me again. Today is my day, our day, as will be tomorrow.

What an absolutely lovely post....it felt almost like poetry to read. Its wonderful that you have found this site and that you are able to say what you need to say in entirety, complete and whole without interruption. You sound so inspired and I believe you will inspire other's here as well.

Warmly,
Kellie Montgomery, LMFT

Thank you for your comment Kellie. I am very inspired at this point in my life. I would love to share that with everyone here, as well as in my community. Life keeps throwing me curve balls, and I am not always able to handle them gracefully. Lately I have decided to focus on the positive. I have so many opportunities and wonderful people in my life to appreciate. If any one ever needs to talk I hope I can assist you. If nothing else remember you are not alone!
Always,
S
