Hello Styna,
Some may look at your post and think you're mad.
I am not one of them. You ARE indeed addicted to abuse,and/or
anything else that brings you unhappiness. It is an extremely
complicated addiction, and would take too much space here to
go through it all.But I have been struggling with it for some
time now.I am making some progress, but the stumbling
block was,it was so off-the-wall and unbelievable,I kept
dismissing it! Finally, through my own sorry experience,I now
FINALLY believe it. For you,and anyone else who may think as
I did, that "I was born to suffer",here is a book on the subject:
"Addicted To Unhappiness" by Martha and William Pieper.
Kindness+Deepest Respect,
jimindigo

Styna, I am so sorry for your troubles. But changing your attitude can help. There is no way to make your parents do what’s best, and you don’t mention that you are a child or physically dependent on them. If they are away or out of the country then this is your moment to provide your own security, optimism, and hope-all of which can be great antidotes to stress. You might want to consider finding a meaningful relationship by other methods: meeting new people; joining/forming a club; adopting a pet; volunteering to help out at a local shelter or visiting the sick and elderly. If socializing is not what helps you then listen to music or song, learn a new skill, meditate, join a book club; and there are many more helpful ideas online, just type in and search out the subject of loneliness. I hope that you can relax and find a better state in mind for getting well.

@jimindigo how thoughtful of you not to see anger in Styna's words. I can tell that you are very keen with your own feelings or emotions. I hope the best for you as well.

Styna, ..... "scarlett'slyrics" and "jimindigo" gave you good insight in my opinion. Knowing that other people care can help break some of that "vicious" cycle of lonliness. Try breaking the cycle a bit at a time. Maybe the cycle is like a storm that needs to be worn down over time. Maybe, but I don't have any answers. There has got to be good friend's down the road and in the future for you. The future is where we are all headed. Try to arrive there in the best shape that you possibly can so you can recognize them. ...... All the best to you.
