I encourage people to try it out as well! I did on another promo night and it's especially helpful if you feel (well to me) either physically unable to go to someone's office, have fears of leaving your home, or would feel more at ease talking to someone via a web camera or text chat (I have done the web camera type session just once so far (just started this week) and it helps me personally feel more at ease than leaving to someone's office but do whatever makes you feel most comfortable because therapy with the right therapist can help you through tough seasons in life!!!!
I am new to this group... I am in an emotional abusive relationship... The man I live with doesn't like to communicate at all. When I say let's talk about our relationship, he throws his hands over his face, like it's a chore or something.. He has a very very explosive temper.. So, I am constantly walking on eggshells around him.. you can't even joke around with him, you have to watch what you say to him and in the tone you say it cause if you don't this is always his reply: WHY YOU GOTTA TALK TO ME LIKE THAT... I've heard this for 7 years now.... He is extremely moody.. I always have my guard up.. He is like dr jekyl and mr hyde.. He is the laziest man I've ever met... Never helps out around the house and if I ask him to do something he throws a fit... I'm tired of living like this.. His temper is whacked... If he doesn't get his way he gets angry and whatever he has in his hands he will throw it... or he will start screaming and leave or he will go throw himself on his bed and put the vcovers over his head.. he acts like he is 2... I've dealt with this for 7 long years and I'm tired of it all, just don't know what to do.. Everyone says leave him.. I get that, but when you have no money and no transportation and no one to help you what is a person to do. Iv'e been looking for organizations and such to help me get out of this.. I don't even have a job.. I feel like a prisoner here.....when he goes away on business for a week, I am at peace and feel so much better but when he comes home I literally get sick to my stomach.. I try to stay away from him as much as I can.. I stay in my room alot when he is home and wear ear plugs so i don't have to hear him.... HELP
wow, I feel for u,I truely do, but for your mental and physical well being u need tobecome independant, he thrives off of knowing you'll stay .. there are alternatives.. I willpray and look forward to hearing morefrom you
It would be cool to join in on something like that, but it would suck for those of us who cant afford the follow up. :(
